Kenneth Cole Productions was founded in 1984 by Kenneth Cole as an American shoe design brand. Not having released any major motion pictures, the 'Productions' was added to the name so that they could sell out of a trailer due to lack of funds to purchase a showroom space for their first launch. After a widely successful launch, Kenneth Cole expanded into clothing, accessories and fragrances having launched over 25 fragrances since 2002 in conjunction with Coty.
